By now you have either heard about or experienced firsthand the convenience of on-line learning. For many, modernized delivery mechanisms for education, professional development and continuing education requirements become more easily attainable and convenient when utilizing an e-Learning environment.

CADAT ePortè (pronounced Ä“-portÄ, meaning the “gate”) provides both members and non-members a convenient and timely educational opportunity for their own professional development. Working in connection with professional educators from California universities and educational organizations, CADAT has developed an educational methodology course consistent with modern teaching terminology, objectives and techniques without the necessity to wait for a course or lecture to attend during a conference or event. With our online platform, required courses can be obtained as needed in a simple and timely manner without compromising the integrity of a terrific learning experience.

Two-Hour Teaching Methodology:  A Guideline for Establishing Educational Goals, Assessments, Evaluation Techniques and Creating Learning Outcomes & Teaching Applications: Laboratory and Clinical Evaluations

Objective:  This course is set to assist the instructor in presenting coursework and utilizing educational methods for the evaluation of learners/students of your program/course, as well as course objectives and learning outcomes that meet the standards set forth by regulation, which need to be well understood. In developing this program, we hope to help you to better understand the following concepts:

  • The differences between objectives and outcomes
  • Student learning styles
  • The importance of clear objective setting
  • Evaluation tools for all aspects of dental assisting education including clinical evaluation
  • Developing strong course evaluation tools and overall learner success in your program.

This teaching methodology course is acceptable to meet the methodology requirements for any of the following subject areas:

Radiation Safety
Coronal Polishing
Pit & Fissure Sealants
Infection Control

Upon course content and chapter questions review, the participant will complete a final examination and, if successful, be able to print a certificate of completion that is acceptable for any of the subject areas requiring a 2-hour teaching methodology course be accomplished.
